Fortis college only cares about getting money from YOUR pockets. When you have an issue whether it’s needing extra assistance for a specific class or even just making a payment or needing them to do THEIR part , they don’t. Please do not waste your time coming to this school. You are better off taking your money somewhere else. I left this school in December of 24’ with intentions of returning however the person that used to sit in the seat for financial aid didn’t do their part by sending a simple invoice over to my military personnel so they can receive THEIR money. It’s almost as if they want to see you down. If I did my part they should simply do theirs. I’m not happy with the staff or the teachers as the majority of them have not been helpful and may I add also have not been professional at all. I was told in May the invoice would be sent over to us the first week of May and to no surprise it hasn’t been. I’ve left several voice mails with staff even to the president of the campus with no call back. Please don’t waste your time. If you do you’re in for a ride!

PART ONE My Experience with Fortis College For some background: I started at UC in the fall of 2023. Since my advisor knew I worked full time, she put a block on my scheduling so I couldn’t register for full-time classes. The process was taking longer than expected, so I started looking into other colleges that might have the prerequisite classes built into their programs. (looking back now, I realize switching wasn't the best decision.) Around September 2024, I emailed Fortis just looking for information. I was researching several nursing programs to find the right fit. I ended up setting up a tour for the next day. When I visited, they made it seem like the perfect school. They had me take the placement test on the spot (I scored well), and the advisor told me we could go ahead and start setting up financial aid and classes. I asked plenty of questions, but one of the most important ones was about accreditation and the transfer process. I know some nursing programs aren’t accredited properly, which can prevent you from working in certain places or continuing your education at certain universities. I specifically asked, “Can I transfer to UC after graduating from here and complete

The “please reach out” is a facade for google. I’ve been in contact with the Dean to the business AND Financial DIRECTORS and no one is of help. These people are intentionally withholding stipend funds in over 2,000$ and no one thought to reach out, meet with me while I’m there or anything to figure out the issue. They’re hogging me over 950$ A MONTH for the whole 2 years and once I did the breakdown— by previous and current semesters are completely paid in full. Why would I have extra stipend funds if not? This is literally a scam and it sucks because I really enjoyed my classmates. The admission department is very helpful and welcoming!! They’re the only ones who made me feel like I made the right choice. After threatening me that I won’t be able to receive any of my extra funds I have to pay back to FASFA and no one reaching out besides ignoring my emails I am very discouraged and overall unsatisfied. - I’ve asked the DEAN with help of transferring to another school for over 2 MONTHS— No response at all. - I’ve asked financial AND business director of break down of cost— the only response is “financial aid said you will not get any more stipend so how would you like to proceed w

Fortis College is the best and amazing school to attend for HVAC. I just finished a few months ago with the most appreciative, helpful, supportive and amazing teachers. Would recommend all my friends and family who want to get in the HVAC Industry to start off there for their career journey. A lot of opportunities and options to explore.
